You will be pleased to know that the World Peace Convention, Zurich, is organizing a live symposium on Saturday 30th September 2023. The title of the symposium is “Synthesis of Science, Spirituality, Art and Culture for World Peace”. Each speaker will be given 30 minutes (maximum) to present a lecture related to this topic.
The World Peace Convention is dedicated to promoting holistic activities for sustainable peace and prosperity in society through the organization of annual conferences. Scientists, scholars, and delegates from different fields participate in our conferences. We believe that the cooperative approach of science, spirituality (including Vedic science and wisdom), art, and culture is a key to a lasting world peace.
A closer look at the past and the glorious academic era of the world (including India) is indicative of the fact that science, philosophy, art and spirituality had an equivocal part in the educational setting and thus there was always an opportunity to foster reconciliation and encourage holistic solutions to life’s dynamics and confusing scenarios. However, we can observe that today’s world is largely obsessed with scientific pursuits and is progressively ignoring the richer subjective perspectives from philosophical and spiritual foundations. There is, therefore, an urgent and immense need to encourage a systematic understanding of the indispensability of philosophy and spirituality in the modern educational curriculum.
If properly understood, science and spirituality complement each other, and a good understanding of both gives a balanced worldview. It becomes a balm for healing various types of individual and social problems, which more and more people, including our young students, are suffering from. Thus, by bringing together eminent scientists, spiritualists, administrators, and entrepreneurs, all of whom have a balanced worldview, the goal of the WPC lecture series is to educate our young students in particular, faculty members and citizens in general, to work toward a holistic development to better serve themselves and society through a proper understanding of science and spirituality. The conference provides guidelines on how, in the age of science and technology, spirituality gives meaning to life. With so much turmoil and unrest around us, there is no better solution than to enrich everyone with the knowledge of spirituality.
